Account Registration is the first step to participating in the North Carolina Renewable Energy Tracking System (NC-RETS). Anyone wishing to take part in NC-RETS must first establish an account.
Note: Users must have an approved NC-RETS account before they can register projects or manage certificates.
To register, applicants must provide basic account information—such as the Account Holder Name, address, and contact details—via a secure web page on the NC-RETS website. They must also agree to the Terms of Use.
